Fed: Cash handouts paid regardless of High Court decision:expert

A legal expert says millions of taxpayers will eventually receive cash bonus payments
.. even if the High Court rules the stimulus measure's invalid.

The court's expected to rule tomorrow on whether the RUDD government's exceeded its
constitutional powers in legislating for the payments .. up to 900 dollars each for eligible
taxpayers .. due to sent out from next Monday.

But GEORGE WILLIAMS .. senior law lecturer at the University of New South Wales ..

has told ABC radio taxpayers will get their money one way or another .. because the government
will simply use another avenue.
