Vic: Man in court over service station shooting

A man has faced court charged with attempted murder .. for a shooting at a service
station in Melbourne's west.

20-year-old BEN HILLS of no fixed address .. was accused of firing a gun at a group
of people in the Heaths Road service station carpark in Hoppers Crossing .. on November
19 last year.

He was also charged over a burglary in Werribee on January 10 this year and the theft
of two motorbikes .. worth five thousand dollars in total.

HILLS has faced the Melbourne Magistrates' Court charged with 28 offences .. including
attempted murder .. reckless conduct endangering life and assault.

He didn't apply for bail and he wasn't required to enter a plea.

Magistrate CLIVE ALSOP has remanded HILLS to reappear in the same court for a committal
mention on May 10.
