Fed: COAG to establish working groups to drive reform=4

Premier ANNA BLIGH says the Queensland government will consider introducing a prohibition
on alcohol in Cape York indigenous communities.

Ms BLIGH says after three years of alcohol-management restrictions in every community
in The Cape they're not seeing change at the pace that's needed.

And she's thanked the federal government for contributing funding to future alcohol-reduction
resources.

Ms BLIGH says COAG's also agreed new tactics are needed in dealing with indigenous disadvantage.

She says a lot of good people have done a lot of work that has NOT benefited Aboriginal
people .. and governments need to be honest about that.
