Fed: Quiet night after disastrous start to Easter road toll

SYDNEY, April 22 AAP - Despite a disastrous start to the Easter holiday break on the
nation's roads, police in all states were reporting a relatively quieter period, with
no new fatalities.

The national Easter road toll stands at 15, including three children.

On day three of the official-statistics period, deaths have been recorded in all mainland states.

Four people have died in both New South Wales and Queensland, three each in Western
Australia and Victoria, and one person has been killed in South Australia.
