NSW: Lightning strike takes out power on rail network

SYDNEY, Feb 5 AAP - Trains have been delayed on lines between Hornsby and Gosford following
a lightning strike, which took out power on part of the CityRail network.

A spokesman for State Transport Minister Carl Scully said the affected line was between
Cowan and the Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney.

He said staff were being forced to manually flag trains across the line, causing delays
of up to 40 minutes.
