Vic: Man to be sentenced over cricket bat murder
A man will be sentenced in Victoria this week for bashing a young mother to death witha cricket bat.
A Victorian Supreme Court jury has found 30-year-old BOHDAN WEISS guilty of murdering27-year-old HELEN ELIZABETH GREY in 1994.
WEISS pleaded not guilty to the murder, despite making a tearful confession to policein 2000 that he hit Ms GREY on the head once or twice with a cricket bat.
His barrister told the court he only made the confession because police worked him over.
He'll be sentenced on Tuesday.
