NSW:Riot police called as party turns violent

Riot police have used dogs and capsicum spray to break up a fight at a Sydney party.

Local police shutdown the party at Lidcombe, in the city's west, at about 11.15pm (AEDT)
after a fight broke out when a group of gatecrashers tried to get into the hall.

The riot squad, the dog unit and the Middle Eastern organised crime squad was then
called in when officers were confronted by a number of men who were refusing to leave.

Five people were arrested, including a 17-year who allegedly assaulted a television camera man.
